do i need to do v 3.0.0 when i m going from ads v2 to v3, or i can go straigh tto latest ads v3.0.8? br, hs

    You can always upgrade to the latest version of Aperture.
    Before upgrading from v2.X.X to v3.X.X you need to enable Cloud Licensing

    However, what does this mean? Is this cloud licensing mandatory now only for having the data governance modules or some other modules for which the cloud licensing is needed now?

    Are we able to proceed with the upgrade now with legacy license key and then take that cloud licensing into use later (in near future)?

      a. for some customers yes it is already mandatory, for others they can continue using their license key for now, but it will become mandatory for all customers in the near future, so upgrading is strongly recommended.

    Hi Katri,

    Cloud license is mandatory in order to use version 3.0 onwards. Upgrading to a cloud license will encompass all modules that you are currently licensed for. This would also mean that you can't just use cloud license for eg the governance module while having the rest on the legacy key.

    For ease of upgrade, we recommend upgrading to cloud license in your current version of Data Studio before upgrading to v3.08.
