Cloud licensing
Hi team,
We have deployed ADS production server and when we tried to apply the cloud license, we are getting the below below error. We have applied the SSL certifications and still the cloud license is not working.
Error:
Unable to find a valid certificate. Please ensure the Java installation has all certificates required to access the license server.jakarta.ws.rs.ProcessingException: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.
Could you please help us to fix this issue.
Regards
Uma

Hi @Uma this is an issue with the Data Studio server being unable to securely reach the Cloud Licensing SaaS portal.
It is usually because there is a firewall in the way in your network that only accepts secure TLS/SSL connections which require the corresponding public certificate to be added to the Data Studio server. This can be done through the Data Studio UI under Settings→Communication→Public Certificate (restart is required afterward).
Please contact your networking team to request the certificate.
If you have any problems, please get in touch with our support team who can advise you further.
Best regards,
Ian

Hi Ian,
We have deployed the server recently and when i tried to apply the cloud license, am getting the below error. So i have added the all the SSL certification into keystore. Still the issue is not resolved.
Please let me know if any other certificates which needs to be added.

Hi Uma,
Thanks for reaching out. From the error, it seems that you have a proxy server in your current environment. As such you will need to apply the outgoing proxy's certificate as well. You can refer here for the steps.
Also please do ensure that you've whitelisted our license endpoint (https://entitlement.saas.edq.com/api/v1/EntitlementCheck) in your outbound firewall rules. On a related note, if you are planning to use the GenAI features in v3 then it makes sense to do the same steps for this URL at the same time: https://genai.saas.edq.com
Let me know if you the issues still persist. Thanks.

Hi Ivan,
I have added the certificates into the keystore through command prompt since am unable to connect the application due to licensing issue.
