Creating charts from workflow
I've added a chart step to one workflow but when running it I cannot see the chart under the chart list, is that correct or am I missing something?

Charts created using the Chart workflow step 'belong' to that workflow and are useful to visualise data for any users of that Workflow
Charts created from the chart list based on an existing Dataset or View are an object that can be published, exported, shared across Spaces and into Dashboards
So it depends what you are planning to do with a chart which you would choose.

It is something we can investigate. If all the components (charts and data) you are trying to show are already within the same Workflow then you can use the Report step to create a page that 'belongs' to the Workflow:
Dashboards are a newer addition than reports that allow more flexibility to collate related charts and views created by different activities, possibly in different Spaces.

Thanks for your reply.
My plan was to create all the outputs for a dashboard within the workflow, however seems that I'll need to generate it form the chart list.

Hi Josh,
Would not be an improvement if we could have an option on the workflow step to create the objects (charts and views) the same way we create new datasets. I'll even propose the creation of an step call dashboard, so if it is added after an output (charts, views, datasets) then it enables you to add the object to the chosen dashboard.
