🎞️ Here is a short demonstration video on sharing
In this video I will show how different types of user role and license assignments have different abilities within Data Studio. I will show one way that I might share a particular view of the data to 'consumer users' that they can look at and explore but cannot save or manipulate beyond data exploration.

Good Morning
I have created datasets that I want to be able to share with data consumers. I am going to just give them filter access on that dataset only. Nothing else. Is there a simple way of doing that?

Hi Amit
Consumer users can see any data grids (and charts) that are added to Dashboards within the Spaces they have access to. When adding a grid to a Dashboard, you can drag in a Dataset or alternatively a View (if you want to obfuscate something in the data before sharing it).
From a Dashboard it is possible to explore data applying filter, sort, etc in read-only mode:

Good Afternoon Josh
I have create a Shared Space where my datasets and views are located. I have given my users (who have Data Consumer Role) READ access to that space.
Issue I have - When my Data Consumers login, they do not see anything. They just get a screen that says No Dashboard available and nothing else displays and they do not even have access to views or anything.so I am trying to find out what rights do I need to give to Data Consumer role to be able to see the data or the views that I am creating? I do not want to elevate their rights to the designer level as I do not have additional licenses for designer.
Thanks.0 -
FYI
Under the roles, I have already given Data Consumer user role the following rights
- View Datasets, Download CSV and copy grid data, Download Excel Grid Data, View Workflows0
