Issue List – Status change event-based triggering

Need for an Issue List – Status change event-based triggering, to fire an event when status changes from 'New' to 'Active' or 'Active' to 'Resolved'.
What impact does this problem have on you/your business?
Having this as a native event in automation will help business users take relevant action when issue list source data changes, especially when status changes from 'New' to 'Active' or 'Active' to 'Resolved' status.
Do you have any existing workarounds? If so, please describe those.
This currently requires two workflows, one to fire event when status changes and the other to write to a snapshot to hold previous status values from Issue List Source data where the status changes dynamically after user update or source data refresh.
Do you have any suggestions to solve the problem? Feel free to add images if this helps.
Open to suggestions to handle bulk status changes (especially from Source data refresh, where many records might have got "resolved"). In such scenarios, fire only once in an agreed frequency with a summary of the changes made during that period in the body of the email notification or app notification in UI.
