Spaces for sharing

We're experiencing a problem when trying to share Views. Specifically, when selecting Spaces for sharing, we receive the following error message:

Has anyone else come across this? Any insights on what might be causing it or how to resolve it?

It looks like more of a warning than an error, so you should be able to proceed.

The warning is that the View is currently shared with all Spaces (or some Spaces that you, the sharer, do not have access to) and after you re-share the View to some specific Spaces, some other Spaces will no longer have access to this View.

Yep, as Josh says the warning is actually pretty clear - It's telling you that you're about to set the Shared with some Spaces sharing options on a View, but the View is already shared with one or more spaces that your user doesn't have access to.

Because your user does not have access, you can't actually see the Space listed (it's hidden from you), but updating the sharing options would remove the View from being shared to that space.

Example - I'm logged on as super admin and share a view with another user's Space:

Then I log in as a standard user that does not have access to Akshay's space, and go to change the sharing options for that same view

Here's where I see that warning "This object is currently available for inclusion into one or more spaces that you do not have permissions to access…":

Note that I can't see that the View is shared to Akshay's space now, since my user doesn't even know that Akshay's space exists. Neverthless, if I do change the sharing options, the view will no longer be shared to Akshay's space.

 That's exactly what "If you choose to continue, it will no longer be available to these Spaces." is saying.
