Rule Question (DataArc360)

Hello,

Can someone help me understand a rule and why certain criteria is listed?

Rule name- The DOFD is more recent than normal on a derogatory account

Why did they select those Account Statuses? For instance, Account Status 95 can be reported if an individual is not 120 late since the member is voluntarily surrendering their vehicle.

How does the 120 days play into this rule?

Any guidance would be helpful!

Thank you

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, our NA team are aware of this question, but given the US holiday this week might be slower than usual to come back with an answer.

  • Hi Carolyn-

I am Account Manager Elizabeth DeCoste. Please see the response to your question below:

120 days was chosen due to the normal latency we see in derogatory status codes across all industries.  It is absolutely within reason for a company to have policies and procedures which could cause accounts to meet these conditions sooner.  If your organization is one of those, then you can create a new rule with a shorter timeframe or continue to monitor the records that flag for this and just ensure you are following their policies/procedures.
