No JDBC option for external system

Hi, any reason why I would not have a JDBC option in the drop down for creating an external system?

Could be a few different reasons, but most likely is that you do not have any JDBC drivers installed or the location they are loaded to is not the 'standard' folder and is not mapped correctly:
