Automations - License Expiring Event

We have been unable to trigger the License Expiring Event for 'License Days Remaining Less than 365' with a Notification to users.

License Expiration is Aug 2, 2025.

What needs to happen to trigger this event? We've had a dataset load, complete workflow and waited overnight.

We were only able to generate an notification after the End of a Workflow event.

    Hi @ifr89 ,

The check will only kick in when your license remaining days is 60 days. So if you set your filter to 60 days or lesser, you will receive the notification when the condition is met. Apologies for not making this clear in the release notes. I've amended the release notes for 2.13.6 accordingly. We will also try to see if we can make the filter name more obvious.

It is set this way, based on our experience where most customers prefer reminders to be sent nearer to the expiry date. Do you require expiry reminders more than 60 day from expiry? Happy to discuss this further and see if changes are required. Thanks.

    Best Regards,

Set the number of days to your Aperture license expiry minus today's date:

You can send a notification to the in-app inbox or an email (if SMTP is set up).

    https://docs.experianaperture.io/data-quality/hosted-aperture-data-studio/data-pipelines/automate-actions/#notifications

Unsure exactly what you are trying to achieve, as it is not clear why you would want to use this with any of the other event mentioned.

I am only trying to send a notification to the in-app inbox for the License Expiring event.

In using today's example from the Expiry Date of 8/2/2025 with today's date of 8/13/2024 for a difference of 358 days, I imagine that the following event should have sent a notification by now as 358 is less than 365 days.

But it has not sent a notification over the past several days.

Likewise, over the weekend, the following automation that was also enabled should have been sent since the license hit 360 days remaining until expiry:

This notification has not been received either.

    Proof of Expiry Date:

Hence the question, what am I missing to cause this to send a notification?

The only notifications that have been sent is just a dummy test Titled 'Equals Fitler 3' for an end of workflow event, just to make sure some type of notification is being triggered:

Understood, thank you for the information. No need for more than 60 days, I was just trying to force a notification for testing with the fact that license expiry is almost a year out. Thanks!
