Use a View in the Map to target step

The Workflow step Map to target allows the schema (column order and column names) of a table of data to be quickly updated to match another data table’s schema. It is now possible to use a View as the ‘Target schema’ that is being mapped to, which is useful:

  • to create a schema in Explore mode using Transform
  • to share a View with other Spaces that can be used as the target layout for multiple Workflows

This functionality was added to Data Studio in v2.13 (January 2024). For further information on the Map to Target Workflow step visit our documentation and below is a short demo video.
