What Foreign Country Code should be used for AS and MP so not to fail the Foreign Country Code Rule?
We have fails under the Data 360 rule Foreign Country Code Is Not Reported rule. AS, which refers to American Samoa and MP is Northern Mariana Islands which shows as the State code. I need to confirm if the Country code should be U.S. since these are considered U.S. territories. Also, we have one for Japan (JP) that is failing. I am reviewing it now.

Hi Brian,
for American Samoa and Northern Mariana Island the codes, AS and MP respectively, should be placed in the State Code and US in the Country Code.
Any country code which not US will fail the Foreign Country Code Is Not Reported rule.
I tested the rule for JP and it's failing, as expected.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,

I trying to understand if you have a valid country code listed why would we still show it as a fail. Are there other variables involve?

Hi Vaughan, I appreciate the response. Yes we agree with the first part in regard to AS and MP as State Codes and US as the Country Code. We will correct those items to reflect the proper country code, but its for the items that are passing the Foreign Country Is Not Reported rule that is puzzling. For example, we have line items for Guam (GU) that show GU as the State Code (which is correct per CRRG), but the Country Code is GU as well. Since Guam is considered a US territory the Country Code should be US. Note: This is the same scenario for Puerto Rico (PR) showing as State and Country Code and Virgin Island (VI). These are all showing as passing the rule. Should they show as passing? We are trying to match the rule function to the CRRG which lists all the codes mentioned here as State Codes. Therefore, shouldn't the country code show as U.S.? If so, why are these considered a pass? Thanks again for any insight you can provide.
