💳 Aperture for CAIS (UK Credit Data sharing)
Aperture Data Studio is a powerful Data Quality and Enrichment platform that can be used for all sorts of tasks, but we also provide it with pre-built solution packages to help clients with specific use cases. This post aims to highlight the pre-built solution package we have to help monitor the quality of UK credit data feeding into our wider bureau business.
In the UK, Experian provide a number of data sharing services including Consumer and Commercial CAIS (Credit Account Information Sharing), CATO (Current Account Turnover for businesses) and CCDO (Commercial Credit Data Sharing). All of these services operate on a principal of reciprocity (where you need to submit good quality data in order to gain access to data from these bureaus). Each service has it's own file specification and quality rules imposed and we've built these into Data Studio as a templated solution to allow clients to pre-screen their data submissions against these rules (see UK Credit Processing for further information).
The following 10mins demo gives a quick overview of the solution package and what it come with:
Note that other solution packages are also available for US credit data sharing (in line with the Metro2 regulation) and for Australian credit data reporting too.
For any consulting firms, if you have deep knowledge of any other regulatory frameworks, Data Studio can be used as a vehicle to build your own packaged solutions too.
