Last week we welcomed over 40 customers to our latest Data Quality User Group. Held in our London office and online the session was a chance to: hear about product updates, find out about our recent user experience research, view live demos and hear from Shawbrook Bank on how they’ve implemented Aperture Data Studio.

One of the biggest successes for us was hearing from a range of clients from different sectors including: banking, councils and third-sector organisations, all discussing the problems they are having with their data and sharing the positive results they’ve had since using Aperture. Here’s a summary of the agenda items please comment and let us know if you have any questions or feedback:

  1. Product updates – we heard from @Josh Boxer about some of the latest developments including:
    1. additional modules now available in the eLearning content
    2. the relaunch of the Community site (coming soon)
    3. Product enhancements added in recent releases including: notifications, profiling improvements (including customisable reports), new ‘solutions’ packages for migrating metadata from multiple spaces, the new visual associations screens, enhancements to issue lists, the new ‘compare’ workflow step as well as many of the UX improvements including optimised function search, full screen mode and sticky notes on the workflow canvas.
  2. UX research – we also heard about current research focusing on how we might be able to better help users organise large lists of objects (e.g. lots of datasets). If anyone else would like to be involved in this, or other future research sessions please reach out to Adrian.
  3. Shawbrook Bank @Bizzy from Shawbrook Bank delivered a great presentation on how they’ve implemented Aperture Data Studio to help create a single customer view that brings together data from 12x different sources, and crucially how they’ve been then able to leverage this new single view of their customers in more and more teams across the business ranging from FinCrime to DSARs to helping front-desk reception directly inbound queries to the right franchise. 4. IntoZetta – David Bamford took us through a tour of the latest addition to the Experian family – IntoZetta, and the software solution that empowers users to associate real-world context and costs to DQ Issues helping to address that age-old ‘so what’ question.
  5. Live Demos@Seamus Kyle closed off the presentations with a guided tour around some practical tips, best practises and live demos of some of the latest features within the toolkit.

We’ll look to get some further Community posts in the coming weeks to share these more broadly with this audience.

For those of you who were able to join the event, we hope you found it valuable and if you have any thoughts on future topics/would like to present your story in the next session (on Wednesday 6th March 📅) do let us know in the comments or by reaching out directly!

Thanks to everyone who joined, presented and engaged at this event and I look forward to seeing many of you at the next one!

Danny
