Aperture Find Duplicates Match Status and Cluster ID Columns

As my workflows grow and I'm introducing more Find Duplicate steps I've realised I need to start using transform steps to remove the Match Status and Cluster ID columns after I've finished Harmonising or Filtering on them.

If I don't it can be confusing when trying to select the correct Match Status and Cluster ID columns further down the flow as you end up with multiple instances of them.

I've also noticed that if I edit a step, subsequent steps that reference the Match Status and Cluster ID fields get reset to use the first instance of the fields, producing false results, there's no warning for this.

Has anyone any other work arounds for this, is removing the columns once no longer needed the best practice.
